Step into a rewarding role supporting early learners as a PreK Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This 35-hour per week contract position offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young students, working onsite with a dedicated elementary team. You’ll help nurture growth and development in an inclusive classroom setting, ensuring each child receives the individualized support they need to thrive.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Tennessee Special Education teaching license
  • Tennessee endorsements in at least one of the following: 459, 465, 468, 2000, or 2001 (strong candidates may add PreK by passing the relevant Praxis exam, with exam costs covered)
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children in special education settings preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement effective IEPs tailored to student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instructional activities for a PreK special education caseload
  • Develop, review, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Assess student progress and modify instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all federal, state, and local requirements
