Step into a rewarding contract role providing essential one-on-one support to a 4th-grade student in a welcoming elementary school setting. This part-time (Monday–Wednesday) opportunity is ideal for a paraprofessional who possesses a firm, structured approach and thrives on fostering student growth and independence. There is potential to expand the position to full-time for professionals willing to work across two area school sites and assist on Thursdays and Fridays.

Key Duties:

• Deliver dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day, closely following the elementary school’s schedule.
• Implement strategies that encourage confidence, promote independence, and help the student achieve daily learning goals.
• Maintain a strong, authoritative presence to guide the student, uphold behavioral expectations, and address challenges as they arise.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, and administrators to monitor progress, communicate observations, and adjust approaches as needed.
• Respect confidentiality and adhere to school policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (Paraprofessional Certification, Associate Degree, or passing Praxis score preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to establish and uphold firm boundaries with children, leading with confidence and purpose.
• Prior experience supporting students 1:1 and/or in behavioral management scenarios.
• Dependable, goal-oriented, and comfortable giving clear direction.
• Available part-time Monday through Wednesday, or willing to expand to a 5-day support role with travel.
