A highly skilled, full-time school psychologist is needed for a contract opportunity spanning the academic year from August through May. This onsite role offers the unique chance to serve multiple schools, providing vital psychological services and collaborating with educational teams to foster positive outcomes across the district.
Essential qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology is required
- Valid certification/credential to practice as a School Psychologist in Arizona
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (current and valid)
- Experience in educational settings, preferably as a regional or school psychologist
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Flexibility to work onsite, with potential consideration for virtual assignments if needed
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students referred for evaluation
- Participate actively in multi-disciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide both direct and consultative psychological services to students, parents, and staff
- Support the district in implementing effective behavioral intervention and crisis response strategies
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with legal requirements and district policies
- Collaborate with educators and administrators to promote a healthy, inclusive learning environment
