Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience in a school setting, or a passion for pediatric therapy
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and monitor therapy plans for diverse student needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working within educational teams, students, and families
- Adaptable, proactive, and creative approach to problem-solving and student care
- Familiarity with IEP processes and educational documentation is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to K-12 students, tailored to individual education plans
- Evaluate students’ motor skills, coordinate assessments, and recommend interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
- Document progress, attend IEP meetings, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Provide education to staff and families regarding mobility and adaptive strategies
- Encourage student participation in school activities through targeted interventions
