Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current and valid SLP Licensure in Rhode Island
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous school-based experience or a genuine interest in working with children and adolescents
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff
  • Knowledge of IEP process and experience developing individualized treatment plans

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings, as well as comprehensive assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation aligned with state and federal guidelines
  • Serve as a resource to school staff regarding language development and communication
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary IEP meetings and recommend interventions
  • Monitor, evaluate, and revise therapy plans as necessary based on student needs
