Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) - Summerville, GA

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit environments
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, administering medications, and interpreting patient data
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to thrive in demanding and dynamic clinical situations
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to stepdown and PCU patients, monitoring for changes in condition
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and case managers
• Implement individualized care plans and adjust interventions based on patient response
• Manage and administer IV therapies, cardiovascular medications, and continuous monitoring devices
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment options, procedures, and post-care instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices
• Respond promptly to emergencies and communicate patient status changes as needed
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all infection control and patient safety protocols
