Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Regional School Psychologist supporting students and staff throughout a dynamic district near Mesa, AZ. This full-time role spans from August 3rd through May 21st, offering the chance to make a lasting impact over the school year. The position is primarily onsite, with the potential to consider virtual arrangements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Psychology is required
- Valid Arizona School Psychologist certification and any state-specific credentials necessary for practice
- Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
- Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to assess, plan interventions, and advocate for diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret data to inform individualized educational plans
- Work closely with educators, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to support the academic and social-emotional needs of students
- Provide direct and indirect interventions to address learning and behavioral challenges
- Facilitate crisis prevention and response, including the development and implementation of behavior plans
- Deliver professional development or consultation to staff regarding mental health and learning supports
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
