This full-time, long-term substitute assignment runs from September 9th to November 30th. You’ll split your expertise between .4 FTE at an elementary school with a center-based autism classroom (primarily providing oversight for a COTA) and .6 FTE at another elementary school where you’ll independently deliver all OT services. This is a wonderful chance to collaborate across diverse settings, connect with students, broaden your experience with various workplace practices, and contribute to educational outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Minnesota (or eligibility)
  • Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Competence in supporting students with autism and supervising support staff (COTA)
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Dedication to collaborative, student-centered care

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support COTA in a center-based autism classroom
  • Deliver comprehensive OT services to students at a separate elementary school
  • Collaborate with educators and families to create and implement individualized plans
  • Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with school standards
