Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid SLP license for California (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
  • Recent experience working within a school setting, preferably with middle school students
  • Strong ability to develop and implement effective IEPs
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and parents
  • Proficiency in screening, assessment, and progress monitoring for school-aged children

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse middle school caseload while delivering both individual and group therapy
  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop tailored treatment plans to address each student’s unique needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the IEP process
  • Cultivate positive relationships with students to foster engagement and trust
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in line with district and state guidelines
  • Provide consultation and resources to teachers and families to support student growth across settings
