Make a meaningful impact working with early learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic preschool setting. This contract opportunity spans from onboarding before August 31, 2026, through June 6, 2027, and involves partnering with a team dedicated to supporting young children’s communication skills. Located near Portage, MI, you’ll serve a caseload of 25-29 preschoolers, ages 3-5, in Early Childhood Special Education classrooms, providing both assessment and intervention in a school-based environment. School hours are 8:44am-3:50pm, and the average workweek is 37.5 hours.

Qualifications and Preferred Background:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Hold or eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), SLP-CF candidates will be considered
  • Licensed (or eligible) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state
  • Experience in school settings and/or pediatric populations preferred
  • Familiarity with early intervention, IEP processes, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfort with teletherapy platforms is a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to preschool students (ages 3-5)
  • Conduct assessment and screening of communication disorders
  • Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with educators and families
  • Track student progress, maintain records, and complete required documentation
  • Participate in meetings, team conferences, and parent communication
  • Creatively adapt services to individual student needs, including utilizing teletherapy if required
