Our client, a well-established international logistics and freight forwarding organisation, is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Coordinator to join their Key Accounts team based at Heathrow. This is an excellent opportunity for a customs or trade compliance professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Support the movement of goods across international borders while ensuring customs compliance. \n
- Classify products using the correct tariff and commodity codes. \n
- Provide guidance on UK import requirements for goods arriving from the EU. \n
- Support the Head of Trade Compliance and wider operational teams. \n
- Audit customs entries to ensure compliance with UK import and export legislation. \n
- Prepare customs documentation and declarations for import and export shipments. \n
- Liaise with HMRC regarding customs procedures and compliance matters. \n
- Maintain CITES records, including uploading import and re-export certificates. \n
- Produce KPI reports and management information within agreed deadlines. \n
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation. \n
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency. \n
- Carry out regular compliance checks and provide reports to management. \n

- Previous experience in Customs, Trade Compliance or Freight Forwarding. \n
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU customs regulations. \n
- Good understanding of commodity codes, tariffs, customs valuation, Incoterms and rules of origin. \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \n
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. \n
- The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player. \n
Monday to Friday working hours (8:30am – 5:30pm)
