No two days are the sameexpect a mix of planned work, problem-solving, and specialist projects.Your responsibilities will include:Carrying out refurbishment and repair work across our crane fleet and ancillary equipmentSupporting special projects, including structural fabrication work beyond standard vehicle repairsWorking collaboratively with the Workshop Supervisor and ManagerEnsuring all work meets safety and quality standardsevery timeHelping ensure all vehicles leaving the depot are safe, compliant, and road-readyWhat Were Looking ForWere after someone who knows their craft and takes pride in their work. Youll need:A recognised apprenticeship (minimum 3 years) in fabrication, welding, or vehicle body repairStrong experience with MIG, TIG, and argon arc weldingThe ability to read and work from engineering drawings, working accurately within tolerancesHands-on experience with bending machines, drills, saws, and other workshop equipmentConfidence using cutting methods such as oxy/acetylene and plasmaThe Ainscough WayWere big on attitude as well as ability.
