Can you motivate people to change?Are you comfortable working with vulnerable people?This is a great opportunity to have a positive impact onpeopleslives!You will work between police custody and criminal courts.Youwill assess, advise and refer offenders,providing them the opportunity to access treatment to address their substance use.Workingwithcourtsyou will promote the use of CommunitySentenceTreatmentRequirements( Drug Rehabilitations RequirementsandAlcohol Treatment Requirements) amongst all court professionals and the judiciary, contributingtoPre SentenceReports and advocate for our service users.You will be responsible fordelivering all elements of substance use work includingassertive engagement, harm reductionsupport (includingnaloxoneprovision),as well as other associated duties. Youneed to have an understanding of the issues faced bypeople who use drugs and alcohol, andwho commit crime,and be dedicated to delivering a service that supports these individuals tomake positive changes totheirbehaviour, health and well-being.All roles within this service are subject to enhanced DBS checks andWest MidlandsPolice vetting.Applications for part time hours will be considered.Sponsorship is not available for this post.
