Wareouse Finance Coordinator

The Role Love numbers but don't fancy being tucked away in a finance office where nobody knows your name?This could be exactly what you're looking for.We're recruiting for a Warehouse Finance Coordinator to join a fast-paced warehousing and logistics operation, where finance isn't just about balancing the booksit's about helping the operation make smarter commercial decisions.You'll work closely with warehouse and transport teams, monitoring costs, analysing performance and making sure the financial side of the operation runs as smoothly as the warehouse itself. If you enjoy working with people as much as spreadsheets, you'll fit right in.What You'll Be Doing Processing purchase invoices, supplier payments and expense claimsReconciling supplier statements, transport invoices and warehouse chargesSupporting accounts payable and receivable activitiesAssisting with month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and reconciliationsMonitoring warehouse costs including labour, agency spend, transport and utilitiesTracking budgets and investigating cost variancesProducing weekly and monthly operational finance reportsSupporting forecasting and budgeting activitiesProviding financial analysis to help operational and commercial decision-makingWorking closely with Warehouse Managers, Transport Managers and Operations teamsActing as the go-to person for finance queries relating to warehouse costs and invoicesSupporting audits and ensuring financial controls are followed across the operationWhat You'll Need Previous experience in a Finance Officer, Finance Assistant or similar finance roleStrong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Lookups and basic analysisExperience using accounting software or ERP systemsExcellent numerical skills and a real eye for detailConfidence communicating financial information to non-finance colleaguesThe ability to manage multiple deadlines without losing accuracyA commercial mindsetyou enjoy understanding the story behind the numbers, not just producing themExperience within warehousing, logistics, supply chain or transport would be a real advantageStudying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA would be beneficial but isn't essentialWhat You Might Not Like Let's be honest...This isn't a role where you'll quietly crunch numbers all day with your headphones on.You'll be speaking to operational teams, chasing invoices, questioning costs and occasionally asking awkward questions when something doesn't quite add up.
