Job Description
Senior Lawyer – Child Protection - Inside IR35 12-week+ contract 37 hours per week Attendance at court is required, office attendance is flexible, ideal is 2–3 times per week Rate: £55-60 per hour Umbrella • Manage a Child Protection caseload from legal planning meetings through to final hearings • Conduct legal planning meetings and Public Law Outline meetings • Handle Child Protection proceedings • Attend and undertake advocacy work • Manage urgent Interim Care Order (ICO) hearings • Prepare and conduct own advocacy • Deal with deprivation of liberty matters • Handle discharge of care order applications • Manage reduction and discharge applications • Provide support with duty solicitor/lawyer rota slots • Undertake general Child Protection casework Location: Sand Martin House
