Health & Safety Advisor – Commercial Fit Out / Refurbishment Bristol City Centre | £50M+ Refurbishment & Retrofit Scheme We are working with a leading commercial fit out contractor delivering a major £50M+ refurbishment and retrofit project in Bristol City Centre, transforming a large-scale development into a high-quality modern workspace. Due to continued project progression, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support the project team and help maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across the site. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Health & Safety professional with experience working on major construction, refurbishment or commercial fit out projects. The Role * Supporting the implementation and monitoring of the project health and safety strategy * Carrying out regular site inspections, audits and compliance checks * Providing practical health and safety advice and guidance to the project team * Working closely with site management, subcontractors and project stakeholders * Monitoring compliance with relevant legislation, company policies and project procedures * Assisting with the preparation and review of RAMS, risk assessments and method statements * Supporting accident, incident and near-miss investigations * Monitoring site standards and identifying areas for improvement * Delivering or supporting toolbox talks, inductions and health and safety briefings * Maintaining accurate health and safety records and documentation * Supporting the promotion of a positive health and safety culture across the project About You * Proven experience working as a Health & Safety Advisor within construction * Experience working on commercial fit out, refurbishment or retrofit projects would be advantageous * Strong knowledge of construction health and safety legislation and best practice * NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification * IOSH membership would be advantageous * Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and site-based health and safety requirements * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to build effective relationships with site teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders * A proactive, practical and collaborative approach to health and safety This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile £50M+ refurbishment and retrofit scheme in Bristol City Centre, working with an established commercial fit out contractor on a significant project.
