Company Accountant

OverviewTechnology Partners is a growing provider of Sage business solutions, specialising in S age Intacct, Sage X3 and Sage 200implementations, support, and consultancy.We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Company Accountant to take ownership of the finance function. This is a key role within the business, supporting the directors with accurate reporting, strong financial control, and insight to support growth.Given the nature of our business, experience with Sage 200 and Sicon modules will be an advantage.This role would suit someone who enjoys working in an SME environment and is comfortable managing a wide-ranging, end-to-end finance function.Key ResponsibilitiesFull ownership of the finance function, including:Sales ledger, purchase ledger, nominal ledger and cash managementContract billingProduction of monthly management accounts and board-level reportingBudgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementResponsibility for VAT returns and HMRC complianceOverseeing payroll (liaising with outsourced providers)Managing year-end process and working with external accountantsMaintaining and improving financial processes and controlsSystems & Reporting:Managing and optimising Sage 200Using and supporting Sicon Contracts for accurate project/service revenue trackingSupporting integration between finance and operational systemsProducing insightful reports on project profitability and recurring revenueBusiness partnering:Supporting directors with financial insights and decision-makingWorking closely with delivery and consulting teams to track project performanceEnsuring financial controls support operational efficiencyKey RequirementsProven experience in a Company Accountant or similar finance roleStrong hands-on experience with SageSolid understanding of UK accounting standards, VAT, and complianceExperience working in an SME or fast-paced businessAbility to work independently and take full ownership of the finance functionStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsConfident communicator who can work with both finance and non-finance teamsDesirableExperience using Sicon Contracts (or similar contract/project accounting tools)Experience within a software, services, or SaaS environmentUnderstanding of project-based accounting or recurring revenue modelsPart-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA / ACA)TPBN1_UKTJ
