Electronics Test Technician / Engineer

Job Description

I'm currently supporting a North East manufacturer with the appointment of a Test Technician / Test Engineer to join an established electronics test team. This is a hands-on role within a manufacturing environment, focused on ensuring electronic and power electronic products meet specification and quality standards before release. Key responsibilities include: * Testing products against defined test procedures and specifications * Fault finding down to component level using circuit diagrams and schematics * Diagnosing and repairing electronic faults on complex assemblies * Collating, recording and documenting test results * Maintaining and calibrating test equipment * Designing and building bespoke test rigs and fixtures where required * Supporting continuous improvement activities to improve test efficiency and product quality I'm particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have experience using: * Oscilloscopes * Multimeters * Function Generators * Current Meters * Power Analysers Backgrounds could include: Experience within power electronics would be highly advantageous, including exposure to: * IGBTs * Converters & Inverters * DC-DC Converters * Power Supplies * High Voltage Systems * Three-Phase Electrical Systems * Digital & Analogue Electronics Candidates with an HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronic Engineering are encouraged to apply, although the business is also open to individuals with a strong electronics background who are looking to further develop their skills through structured on-the-job training
