Credit Risk Analyst

Location: DoverSalary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Are you an analytical finance professional with experience assessing credit risk and reviewing company accounts? We are looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to join their growing finance team, offering a varied role with excellent opportunities to develop your skills across wider finance functions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong commercial awareness, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to make informed credit decisions while building positive relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess new and existing customer credit applications using company accounts and credit reports.
\n
• Review and renew customer credit facilities, making recommendations on credit limits and payment terms.
\n
• Monitor customer accounts and identify where early payments, increased credit limits or additional security may be required.
\n
• Liaise directly with customers to discuss financial information and make informed credit decisions.
\n
• Support the customer account opening process, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance.
\n
• Assist with sales ledger activities including invoicing, direct debits and debt collection when required.
\n
• Review higher-risk accounts and recommend appropriate actions.
\n
• Support bank reference checks and credit administration.
\n
• Provide cover across the finance department, including payroll, stock reconciliations, fuel margin analysis and other accounting duties.
\n
• Assist with credit reviews across multiple group companies.
\n

About You

\n
• Previous experience in a credit risk, credit control or finance role.
\n
• Confident interpreting company accounts and commercial credit reports.
\n
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
\n
• Advanced IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
\n
• Accountancy qualification or qualified by experience.
\n
• Able to communicate confidently with customers and internal stakeholders.
\n
• Eager to learn, develop and take on wider finance responsibilities.
\n
