Are you an experienced HSE Specialist interested in leading Health & Safety and environmental compliance with a leading food manufacturer? This is an excellent opportunity to drive HSE performance, embed a safety-first culture, and support continuous improvement across a busy manufacturing site. About the Role This is a hands-on HSE Specialist role where you'll work closely with operational teams to improve and maintain Health & Safety standards, environmental compliance and a positive safety culture. Reporting to the HSE Manager, your key responsibilities will include: Leading HSE activities including audits, inspections, risk assessments, accident investigations and the implementation of corrective actions. Championing Health & Safety and environmental improvements by promoting a positive safety culture, implementing safe systems of work and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Monitoring HSE performance, maintaining ISO 45001 (and, where applicable, ISO 14001) management systems, managing RIDDOR reporting and ensuring legislative compliance. Coordinating and delivering HSE, compliance and site induction training, ensuring colleagues are equipped to work safely while maintaining accurate training records. Working with the site leadership team to improve Health & Safety performance, reduce business risk and support continuous improvement across the site. About You Experience working in an HSE role, ideally within food manufacturing, able to deliver improvements and lead change. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and environmental regulations. Experience carrying out audits, risk assessments and accident or incident investigations. Familiar with ISO 45001 and, ideally, ISO 14001 management systems. A confident communicator, able to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders and challenge appropriately at all levels of the business.
