HGV Class 2 Refuse / Dustcart Drivers We are looking for HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers to join our client's environmental services team in Brighton. This is a great opportunity to join a pleasant and hard working crew that takes pride in keeping the local community clean, safe and environmentally responsible. About the Position You will drive and operate a Class 2 refuse collection van working with loaders and collection staff to ensure home rubbish and recycling is collected safely and efficiently. You will be driving on designated routes, complete vehicle safety checks, and show a professional and helpful attitude when interacting with colleagues and members of the public. Drive the dustcart vehicle in a safe and efficient manner Perform daily vehicle checks and report faults straight away Follow collection routes and schedules as directed Work closely with loaders and other collection personnel Ensure garbage and recycling are collected according to local authority procedures Meet all health, safety and operational standards Public Relations - Be professional in your dealings with the public: Support larger team to execute collections safely and on time Candidate Qualifications Applicants must possess: A valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence Up to date Driver CPC and digital tacho card Maximum of three penalty points No DD, DR or IN convictions for driving Ability to communicate and work well with others Dependable, safety-minded and customer-oriented attitude Previous refuse or recycling driving experience would be an advantage. Pay Rates: Weekdays 6:00am-8:00pm £17.47/hour Monday-Thursday 8.00pm - 6.00am £23.29 per hour Weekends 6:00am – 8:00pm - £26.21 p/hr Weekend nights, 8.00pm-6.00am: £32.03 per hour Interested?
