Trainee Maintenance Technician

(We cannot sponsor or support VISA applicants).About the Role :We are seeking a motivated and technically minded Maintenance Technician to join our Resident Maintenance Team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day preventative and corrective maintenance activities within a busy automated warehouse environment, ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with all safety and quality standards.Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities on automated equipment and systems.Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely and in accordance with legislation, site risk assessments, and company procedures.Work collaboratively as part of the Resident Maintenance Team to achieve operational targets.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.Requirements:Qualification within Mechanical or Electrical engineering (advantageous but not essential).Previous experience within a maintenance or automated warehouse environment (advantageous but not essential).Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.Physical Demands & Working EnvironmentWorking within a busy automated warehouse environment.Working at heights of up to 30 metres may be required.Ability to work shifts as part of a rotating shift pattern.About Us:Wills Consultants is an independent recruitment consultancy specialising in engineering, finance and office professionals.
