Maintenance Operative

The role:Join a leading property company as Maintenance Operative. Responsibilities include carrying out reactive, planned and preventative maintenance in a high-end residential (Build-to-Rent) development in Birmingham. This will include work within apartments, the building and resident common areas.Responsibilities include:Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasksPreparing vacant apartments for new residents and completing pre-tenancy worksWorking to deadlines to minimise void periodsCompleting basic plumbing, repairs, painting, decorating, and general maintenance worksRepairing and replacing woodwork, doors, locks, fixtures, and fittingsInvestigating and resolving maintenance issues such as leaks and minor electrical faultsAssisting with furniture moves and basic furniture repairsWorking independently and managing daily tasks effectivelyAttending scheduled jobs and providing updates to the line managerMaintaining accurate records of completed worksCarrying out routine checks including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and water temperaturesManaging stock levels and reporting requirementsLiaising professionally with residents during maintenance visitsThe Person:Prior experience working in a handyman or maintenance role, ideally in a residential or hotel settingExcellent written and spoken EnglishExcellent communication and customer serviced skillsStrong organisational skills and ability to multitaskIf you're interested in this Maintenance Operative position and possess the required skill set, then apply now.
