Senior DevOps EngineerContract Length: 6 MonthsIR35 Status: Inside IR35Location : Hybrid / Predominantly RemoteOverview We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a large-scale public sector digital programme. This role offers the opportunity to work on modern cloud-based platforms, driving automation, improving software delivery practices, and supporting the operation of critical production services.You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, improving developer workflows, and ensuring highly available, secure cloud environments.Key Responsibilities Design, build and operate CI/CD pipelines and delivery automation solutions.Manage and support production services hosted in cloud environments, primarily AWS.Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration-as-code solutions.Develop automation scripts and tooling to improve operational efficiency and developer experience.Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to enhance platform reliability, scalability and security.Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using a structured, evidence-led approach.Drive continuous improvement across deployment, monitoring and operational processes.Essential Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience designing, building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.Experience working with Git-based development and delivery practices.Proven experience operating production environments on a major cloud platform:Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automated environment management. AWS (preferred)AzureGCPStrong scripting or programming skills, including:Experience automating operational tasks and improving developer workflows.
