We are looking for Financial Accountant who would like to help us reach our mission to earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service.

\n

This is a fixed term contract for up to 15 months.

Purpose of this role\n

To support the production of statutory financial statements, monthly management accounts and quarterly reporting to shareholders; co-ordination of external audit; assist with the preparation of annual corporation tax returns; to operate and enhance financial reporting processes and controls; ad-hoc projects as required.

Your key responsibilities are\n

Assist in the production of consolidated monthly and quarterly financial reporting in respect of: Monthly management accounts to management, Quarterly financial reporting to support shareholder interim reporting requirements, Ad hoc reporting to management and other stakeholders as required.

\n

Assist in the timely completion of monthly financial close processes.

\n

Support the delivery of insight and analysis regarding key areas of business performance.

\n

Assist with the production of statutory financial statements prepared under FRS 102 & IFRS.

\n

Management of the external audit process liaising directly with auditors and helping to co-ordinate an efficient audit process across finance.

\n

Technical review and application of relevant financial reporting standards.

\n

Support and coach other members of the team.

\n

Assist with producing annual corporation tax returns.

\n

Support the completion of quarterly tax estimates, including analysis of tax sensitive expenditure.

\n

Assist in developing and enhancing processes and controls that are appropriately documented and adhered to in full compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements whilst meeting business needs.

\n

Support internal audit in their review of processes and controls.

\n

Identify and implement process improvements across finance.

\n

Any other duties as required by the manager.

Qualifications\n

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).

Experience/Knowledge\n

Strong technical accounting knowledge.

\n

Experience of consolidations and producing or auditing statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and IFRS.

\n

An understanding of core corporation tax principles.

Abilities/Skills\n

Organised with strong task management skills.

\n

Takes initiative to identify areas of improvement and offer solutions.

\n

Highly numerate and able to work with accuracy.

\n

Strong communicator with the ability and confidence to work with individuals across all levels of the business and external stakeholders.

\n

Ability to analyse and appropriately challenge information presented.

Desirable\n

Accounting experience gained in practice.

\n
