HGV Class 2 Driver – Leicester

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Leicester, Leicestershire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates, ongoing full-time work, immediate starts, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position with a reputable and supportive business.

This role would suit candidates with previous experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Commercial Driver, Delivery Driver, or Truck Driver.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
\n  • 06:00 – 15:00

Rates of Pay

 • £15.75 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

 • Driving and operating Category C (Class 2) vehicles safely and efficiently
\n  • Completing multi-drop deliveries of bottled water and water stock
\n  • Handballing deliveries with some heavy lifting required
\n  • Carrying out pre-use and post-use vehicle checks and inspections
\n  • Ensuring all loads are safely secured before departure
\n  • Adhering to all road traffic legislation and drivers' hours regulations
\n  • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
\n  • Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly

Essential Skills

To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

 • A valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
\n  • A valid CPC Qualification Card
\n  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
\n  • A minimum of six months' Class 2 driving experience
\n  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences
\n  • No major endorsement codes
\n  • A reliable and professional approach to work
\n  • Good communication and customer service skills
\n  • A strong understanding of road transport legislation and vehicle safety

Desirable Experience

 • Previous commercial Class 2 driving experience
\n  • Multi-drop delivery experience
\n  • Experience within logistics or distribution

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
