As we continue to expand our presence across the UK, we are seeking a hands-on, client-focused HR Consultant based in South Wales and the West who can provide commercially minded, practical and expert HR support to our growing portfolio of clients.

\nWhat you will be doing
\nYou will work with a portfolio of clients across various sectors, providing both operational and strategic HR support.
\nService delivery and client portfolio
\nPersonally manage a portfolio of clients through phone, email and onsite/virtual meeting support as required
\nEnsure advice, documentation and support are delivered to a consistently high standard
\nDeliver hands-on HR consultancy in line with client expectations, including casework, project delivery and proactive support
\nEnsure your consultancy delivery is aligned with Impact HR’s central tools, systems and operational frameworks
\nYour day to day will include:
\nStrategic HR
\nSupport clients to shape long term people strategies, aligning HR practices with their business goals
\nConduct HR audits and develop tailored people plans to identify risks, gaps and opportunities - supporting clients with clear, practical follow up actions
\nAdvise on and implement scalable HR strategies that reflect the size, sector and culture of each client
\nAct as a sounding board for leadership teams on key business decisions with a people impact
\nEmployee relations
\nManage all ER cases in their entirety, including but not limited to disciplinary, grievance and capability cases
\nAttend meetings onsite or remotely, providing both reactive and proactive solutions
\nAbsence management
\nGuide clients through absence issues, from holiday queries to long term sickness cases
\nConduct welfare meetings, return to work interviews and manage absence processes from start to finish
\nTUPE and redundancy
\nManage complex change processes from start to finish, including TUPE transfers, redundancy and restructure exercises
\nFamily friendly and flexible working
\nAdvise on family friendly policies and flexible working procedures
\nDevelop enhanced offerings tailored to the client’s people strategy
\nEquality, diversity and inclusion
\nSupport clients with strategic approaches to EDI and training
\nConduct impact assessments and support cases linked to discrimination, bullying or harassment
\nRecruitment and selection
\nAdvise on recruitment campaigns, write job descriptions, support with the advertising and selection process, including job specific testing and psychometric assessments
\nDesign effective hiring processes that align with the client’s strategy
\nOnboarding and induction
\nDesign, review and enhance induction programmes that incorporate company culture
\nSupport clients with structured probationary reviews
\nAdvise on early stage employment concerns
\nLearning and development
\nDesign and deliver bespoke training programmes for clients to upskill their workforce in all topics of HR
\nSupport clients to identify and fill any skill gaps
\nPay and benefits
\nAdvise on pay structures, benefits and reward strategies tailored to the client’s size and sector
\nSupport with fair pay reviews including gender pay gap reporting
\nOther project work
\nFrom exit interviews and settlement agreements to early conciliation support and offer documentation, you will handle a wide range of project based and ongoing HR matters for our client base
\nBusiness development and networking
\nRepresent Impact HR at networking events and within your local business community
\nBuild strong relationships and deliver a consistently excellent service to help you identify opportunities to grow client accounts or introduce new services
\nAny other duties as required
\nWhat Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
\nYou have built trust with a core portfolio of clients and become their go-to HR Consultant
\nYou have led on multiple cases of various topics including disciplinary, grievance, TUPE and redundancy
\nYou have delivered impactful training to clients on topics that may include EDI, absence management or performance management
\nYou have supported clients to develop and implement new initiatives and process that may include new policies, induction programmes or pay structures
\nYou have actively identified opportunities for business development and helped secure repeat and referral work
\nYou have contributed to the development of internal consultancy processes and shared knowledge with your peers
\nYou will likely bring:
\nExperience, with a strong generalist HR background, ideally experience in consultancy or multi-site environment
\nExpert knowledge, with a solid understanding of UK employment law and best practice across the full employee lifecycle
\nStrong consulting and coaching skills
\nAccuracy and attention to detail
\nExcellent planning, prioritising and time management skills
\nCompetency in project management
\nProficiency with MS 365
\nExperience with CRMs and HR systems
\nA solutions-focused, commercially aware mindset
\nApplication of data protection and confidentiality
