If you are energetic and can deliver outstanding results, we will give you the opportunity to build a rewarding and successful career.Role summary:This is a role working closely as a business partner with the Operations and Sales Teams and supporting the Financial Controller with business-critical workThe successful applicant will :-Work with all teams to ensure the weekly P&Ls are accurate and submitted on a timely basis, supervising the Management Accountants to ensure this is achievedAssist in carrying out financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting for all locationsEnsure that appropriate analysis is provided to the relevant parties on a timely basis and to support with all ad-hoc information requests and long-term projects in support of the operationAssist in the implementation and improvement of systemsKey responsibilities:Leading the completion of the Weekly P&L and supporting files and ensuring the weekly timetable is achievedOverseeing the daily reporting process such as revenue, cost and volumesActively participate and contribute to the preparation of the Depot's budgets to ensure consistency and accuracy in their completionPrepare the depot and National management accounts so that the operational management team can properly assess the financial performance of that location, region or nationallyAnalysing and understanding variance to budget and prior periods at a depot/region or National level; highlighting any potential areas of concerns to the appropriate peopleMust be willing and able to visit the depots around the country and assist in training non-financial staff to better use and complete the existing reportsPreparation of monthly accruals and prepayment schedulesMonthly balance sheet reconciliationsActively lead various ad-hoc projects either requested by the operation/Financial Controller or where the individual believes the work will add valueSupporting the Financial Controller in overseeing and guiding all reporting processes on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure they are completed to a high level and to timetableSupport with the training and development of two Divisional Management Accountants with a view to take on the day-to-day management of the two accountants in timeKnowledge, Skills and Experience:Strong excel skills including working with large amounts of dataIdeally, minimum 2-3 years' experience in a finance function; preferably still studying for professional examsThe candidate would ideally have experience of supporting a multi-site regional P&L structureUsed to working to and achieving tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.Experience of preparation of management accounts and involvement in operating profit budgetsIdeally have experience of supporting non-finance individualsFinancial systems experience desirableDriving licencePerson Specification:Keen eye for detailHave a proactive approach to their workTenacity to ensure business unit timetables are met'Quality in everything we do, get it right first time' attitudeStrong communication skills are essentialHave strong analytical and organisational skills and a questioning approachBe a team player with ability to follow procedures and guidelines to achieve successful team outcomes and support the team in achieving their goals/deadlinesBenefits:Competitive Rates of PayHolidays: 25 days increasing with length of service + bank holidaysLong Service Recognition schemeEnhanced Maternity & PaternityCompany Pension SchemeLife AssuranceEmployee Assistance programme including 24/7 Virtual GPDX Discounts PortalExcellent opportunities for career progression and more!!We look forward to hearing from you!.TPBN1_UKTJ
