Full Stack - Tech Lead (Node.js, React, Java Script)

OverviewProvide technical leadership across development teams to ensure the design and delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions. The role combines hands-on development expertise with leadership responsibilities, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions while driving engineering excellence, delivery consistency, and collaboration across onshore and offshore teams.ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Solution Delivery Lead the design and development of key features, components, and services across the application stackProvide hands-on guidance in building scalable applications using React, Node.js, and TypeScriptOwn critical technical decisions, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and long-term scalability goalsAct as the primary escalation point for complex technical challenges and design issuesSolution Design & Requirement Translation Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs and implementation plansCollaborate with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to refine requirements and define solution approachesProduce and review technical design documentation, API specifications, and architectural artefactsEngineering Excellence & Governance Define and enforce coding standards, development best practices, and quality benchmarksConduct code reviews to ensure maintainability, performance, and security complianceEnsure adherence to DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and secure codingMonitor and improve non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, reliability, and resilienceTeam Leadership & Offshore Coordination Guide and mentor offshore and distributed development teams, ensuring alignment to delivery standardsAllocate tasks, oversee progress, and provide regular technical direction to team membersFacilitate knowledge transfer, technical upskilling, and team capability developmentEnsure effective coordination between onshore and offshore teams, managing dependencies and delivery risksCollaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with architects, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholdersParticipate in and contribute to design reviews, sprint planning, and governance forumsCommunicate technical decisions, risks, and progress clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesDelivery & Agile Execution Support Agile delivery processes including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectivesEnsure timely and predictable delivery of features aligned with sprint and programme objectivesIdentify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experienceEssential skillsCore Technologies Front-end: React.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScriptBack-end: Node.js (Express.js/NestJS)API Development: RESTful services, microservices architectureDatabases: SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB)Architecture & Design Strong understanding of software architecture patterns (microservices, layered architecture, event-driven systems)Experience with scalable and cloud-native solution designKnowledge of system integration patterns and API design principlesDevOps & Cloud Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)Exposure to containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)Engineering Practices Strong grounding in clean code principles and design patterns (SOLID, DRY)Experience with test automation, code quality tools, and static analysisUnderstanding of
