Electrical Engineer

Our client is a longstanding manufacturing business based in Hull and they are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is working on site within their manufacturing areas. DUTIES: * Work under the guidance of the Engineering Supervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner * Maintain accurate records of maintenance data input/output * Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements * Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation * Identify and report unsafe operations to Line Supervisor immediately * Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area Working hours: 4 on 4 off (2 days 2 nights) covering 7 days 264 hours holiday + company pension EXPERIENCE: * Experience within an electrical maintenance environment, preferably in heavy industry / manufacturing sector * Experience of working in a factory with inverters, drives, PLCs, motors & control systems * Fault finding / diagnostic skills * Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams * Experience and knowledge of wiring and electrical equipment typically found in office environments * Experience working with H&S systems, lock off / tag off procedure * Able and willing to assist with non-core skill set tasks * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under own initiative * Good communication skills * Ability to comprehend and safely operate electrical and mechanical equipment * Ability to adhere to safe working procedures ensuring safety of oneself and colleagues * Physically fit and active * Flexibility to work different shift patterns The Consultancy: Edwards & Pearce acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
