Quantity Surveyor / Estimator Location - Altrincham Salary/Package - £55,000 - £65,000 + Excellent Benefits Package About the Company Our client is a growing construction and fit-out specialist delivering high-quality commercial refurbishment, interior fit-out, and design & build projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their commercial team in Altrincham. The Role As Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will be responsible for: Preparing competitive estimates and tender submissions for commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects Producing detailed quantity take-offs and cost plans from drawings and specifications Procuring subcontractors and obtaining competitive supplier quotations Managing the commercial aspects of projects from tender stage through to final account Preparing interim valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accounts Producing CVRs, cost reports, and commercial forecasts Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities Working closely with Directors, Project Managers, and Site Teams to ensure successful project delivery Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors Supporting successful project handovers from pre-construction into delivery The Ideal Candidate The successful Quantity Surveyor / Estimator will have: Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or in a combined QS/Estimator role within the construction industry Experience within commercial fit-out, refurbishment, design & build, or specialist contracting Strong commercial awareness and estimating ability Experience preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts Excellent understanding of construction methods, procurement, and cost control Good knowledge of JCT contracts Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Excellent Microsoft Excel and IT skills A proactive and commercially focused approach Full UK Driving Licence What's on Offer Competitive basic salary of £55,000 - £65,000 Attractive benefits package Opportunity to join a growing and ambitious fit-out contractor Exposure to a diverse range of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects Long-term career progression within an expanding business Ongoing professional development and training Supportive and collaborative working environment Apply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.
