Shift Engineer - Leeds
Permanent | 12-hour rota: 2 days / 2 nights / 4 off
Day shift: 06:00-18:00 | Night shift: 18:00-06:00
We are seeking Shift Engineers to join a high-performing engineering team at one of the UK's most advanced 24/7 manufacturing sites in Leeds. This is a fast-paced role for engineers who enjoy fault-finding, reactive maintenance, and working on complex electrical and automation systems.
\nWhat You'll Do
\n Respond rapidly to breakdowns across automated production and packaging lines
\n Carry out planned and preventative maintenance using CMMS systems (SAP PM or similar)
\n Diagnose and repair faults on motors, drives, PLCs, and control panels
\n Support improvement projects and drive operational reliability
\n Collaborate with operations, quality, and engineering teams
\n Maintain strict health, safety, and quality standards
Who We're Looking For
\n Electrical and/or mechanically qualified (NVQ Level 3 or above, ONC/HNC preferred)
\n Fault-finding and diagnostic experience in FMCG, food, or regulated manufacturing environments
\n Skilled in reactive maintenance and structured problem-solving
\n Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP PM or similar)
\n A proactive, safety-first mindset and great teamwork skills
