Principle Highways Engineer

Our client is a global engineering and design consultancy delivering infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally. They are looking to appoint a Principal Highways Engineer to join their established highways team, supporting the design and delivery of major transport and infrastructure schemes. You will act as a technical lead on schemes, reviewing designs, providing engineering guidance and ensuring work is delivered in line with industry standards.ResponsibilitiesProducing and reviewing complex highway designs.Reviewing drawings, calculations and technical reports prepared by other engineers.Providing technical guidance and support to engineering teams.Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and client requirements.Working closely with project managers, clients and multidisciplinary teams throughout project deliveryAttending technical meetings with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders where required.Mentoring and supporting junior engineers within the team.Technical ExperienceApplicants should have strong highway design experience and be familiar with some of the following software:OpenRoads DesignerAutoCADCivil 3DPDS12d ModelKnowledge & ExperienceA good understanding of current highway design standards is essential.
