Maintenance Engineer

Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a business investing heavily in its engineering function?We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to support a highly automated operation, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns and continuous improvement activities across a wide range of automated equipment.The RoleReporting into the Engineering Team, you'll be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across a busy automated operation.Your responsibilities will include:Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)Reactive electrical and mechanical fault findingDiagnosing faults using electrical drawings and test equipmentWorking on motors, drives, sensors and control systemsPLC fault finding and basic interrogationSupporting continuous improvement projectsMaintaining accurate maintenance recordsWorking safely in line with company procedures and engineering standardsFollowing an initial training period on days (approximately 4-8 weeks), you'll move onto a4 on 4 off shift pattern.About YouWe're keen to speak with electrically or mechanically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers from manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, automation, warehousing or industrial environments.You'll ideally have experience with:Electrical and mechanical fault findingPlanned and reactive maintenanceConveyors and automated machineryThree-phase motors and drivesInverters and sensorsPneumatics and hydraulicsPLC fault finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar advantageous)Reading electrical and mechanical drawingsQualificationsIdeally you'll hold one of the following:NVQ Level 3 Engineering MaintenanceCity & GuildsTime-served ApprenticeshipHNC/HND (desirable)Equivalent electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications will also be considered.Salary & Benefits 25 days holiday5% employer matched pensionEnhanced family leavePrivate healthcare benefitsDiscounted gym membershipEmployee discountsOngoing training and developmentLong-term career progressionIf you're looking for a business that values its engineers and offers genuine long-term career opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today or contact Adam Hickman at Apex Appoint for a confidential discussion.TPBN1_UKTJ
