Management Accountant - 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: DoncasterSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience)Contract: 12-Month Fixed Term ContractOur client, a well-established and growing business based in Doncaster, is looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This opportunity has arisen to provide key support during a major business transformation project, including the implementation of SAP.Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in the production of management accounts, financial reporting, forecasting, and business analysis, while supporting the wider finance function throughout this exciting period of change.This role would suit a proactive and hands-on finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is confident taking ownership of month-end processes.Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, supporting schedules and reporting packs.Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare monthly accruals and prepayments.Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.Analyse overhead expenditure and investigate budget versus actual variances.Complete Group reporting packs, providing meaningful commentary and analysis.Produce cash flow forecasts and financial projections.Calculate stock, bad debt and customer rebate provisions.Prepare and post weekly and monthly journals.Prepare and submit VAT returns.Produce daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.Support KPI reporting and performance monitoring.Attend weekly and monthly management meetings.Provide cover for the Financial Controller or Accounts Supervisor when required.About You We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role.Strong month-end and management reporting experience.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.Strong organisational and time management skills.A proactive, flexible approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.The ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Skills & Experience Ideally studying towards or qualified in ACCA, CIMA or ACA, although Qualified by Experience (QBE) candidates are equally encouraged to apply.Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.Experience using ERP systems is essential.Previous SAP experience would be highly advantageous due to the company's upcoming SAP implementation, although this is not essential.Previous experience within a manufacturing or similar commercial finance environment would be beneficial.What's on Offer Salary of £40,000 - £45,000 , depending on experience.12-month fixed-term contract with a completion bonus.25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.Private healthcare following successful completion of probation.Attendance reward scheme following probation.Standard working hours of 8:30am - 5:30pm , Monday to Friday (42.5 hours per week).The opportunity to play a key role in a major SAP implementation project.A supportive, collaborative team environment with the chance to make a genuine impact from day one.If you're an experienced Management Accountant looking for your next contract opportunity and would like to be part of an exciting business transformation project, we'd love to hear from you.INDPSTPBN1_UKTJ
