Steelworker (Plater/Shipwright)We are recruiting experienced Steelworkers (Platers/Shipwrights) to join a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation working on large-scale, complex projects in a highly regulated environment.The RoleYou'll be involved in the fabrication, assembly, installation, and manufacture of steel structures and components, working from engineering drawings to deliver high-quality products while maintaining the highest safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesFabricate, assemble, and install structural steel components.Carry out marking out, plate preparation, burning, drilling, grinding, and fitting activities.Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Operate a range of fabrication tools and equipment safely and effectively.Perform quality checks to ensure work meets required standards.Work collaboratively to deliver projects safely, on time, and to specification.About YouTime-served Steelworker, Plater, Shipwright, or equivalent engineering trade.NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.Experience in steel fabrication, structural assembly, and heavy engineering.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.Experience with plate forming, burning, alignment, fitting, and structural assembly is desirable.Confident working within a safety-critical, quality-driven manufacturing environment.Strong team player with excellent attention to detail and commitment to health and safety.What's on OfferCompetitive pay rates.Long-term opportunities on major engineering programmes.Overtime and shift work available.Excellent career progression and ongoing training.If you're an experienced Steelworker or Plater looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
