Are you a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a permanent role with a condensed working pattern?We are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a busy engineering team in Anwick, Lincolnshire, working Saturday, Sunday and Monday only, 4pm to 4am . This is a hands-on maintenance role supporting production machinery, planned maintenance, breakdown response and continuous improvement across a large-scale food manufacturing site.This opportunity would suit a practical, reliable and proactive engineer with strong mechanical fault-finding skills and experience working in manufacturing, production, FMCG, food processing or a similar industrial environment.The Role As Mechanical Engineer, you will provide an effective engineering service to production, ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained, repaired and running efficiently. You will respond to breakdowns, complete planned preventative maintenance, support OEE improvement and help maximise equipment availability and performance.You will be involved in:Responding quickly and safely to plant stoppages and equipment breakdownsCarrying out mechanical maintenance, repairs and adjustments on production machineryCompleting planned preventative maintenance and delegated engineering tasksFault finding on machinery, mechanical drive systems, hydraulics and pneumaticsSupporting improvements to equipment performance, reliability and uptimeEnsuring machinery operates efficiently and meets product specification requirementsRecording engineering activity, labour and parts accurately using SAP / PPM systemsWorking with engineering leaders, production teams and external engineersSupporting Health & Safety standards, including COSHH and lock-out/tag-out proceduresCompleting engineering documentation, maintenance records and PPM paperworkSupporting continuous improvement, energy reduction and environmental initiativesThe Candidate We are looking for a mechanically qualified engineer with strong hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.You will need:NVQ Level 3 or equivalent mechanical qualificationRecognised UK engineering qualificationsPrevious experience in manufacturing operationsStrong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skillsExperience working on breakdowns, maintenance and machinery improvementsGood decision-making skills and the ability to work safely under pressureGood written and spoken EnglishAbility to complete accurate engineering records and maintenance documentationDesirable Experience Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:Food manufacturing, food processing or poultry machineryFMCG, production, packaging or automated manufacturing environmentsWelding, ideally TIGLean manufacturing techniquesAutomated machinerySAP or similar maintenance management systems17th or 18th Edition electrical qualificationBenefits Competitive salaryCompetitive holiday entitlementPension contributionFamily-friendly policiesLearning and development opportunitiesLife assuranceWhy Apply?
