Role Purpose\n

We are looking for a full time, permanent Senior Social Worker to provide professional practice supervision and caseload management to our social work assistants and support the duty team in achieving positive outcomes for children.

\n

If you are an experienced children and families social worker, are energetic, enthusiastic and skilled in managing pressure, you will thrive in this post and be instrumental in supporting the development and expansion of the Duty team.

\n

The Duty team is a fast-paced environment where all concerns relating to children and young people are screened and initial assessments of risk and need are undertaken.

\n

The team aims to undertake initial assessments in a timely manner, effectively analyse referral information and recognise and provide targeted interventions for children and their families at the earliest opportunity.

\n

We work closely with other professionals involved with the family to ensure robust multi-agency support.

\n

We aim to work in partnership with families to safeguard children and reduce risk of significant harm in cases where child protection thresholds are reached.

\n

This is a great opportunity for experienced social workers to expand and explore their professional practice while sharing their knowledge and skills.

\n

Essential\n

Appropriate social work qualification at degree or diploma level (DipSW). Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

\n

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.

\n
