Carpenter - FRA Remedials

A leader in the provision of fire protection services and works within schools and other public sector projects is looking for experienced fire door carpenters to join their team. You will be working on a school project, carrying out remedials, upgrades and maintenance works too existing doors and frames. The works will be based on a school in Maidenhead. The successful candidate will have: * At least two year’s experience working with fire doors * A strong background in carpentry and joinery * Excellent technical knowledge of fire door compliance * NVQ or equivalent in carpentry * Experience installing fire doors and frames * Experience upgrading and remediating existing doors and frames * Experience working on social housing FRA contracts * Own van/transport to carry materials Roles and responsibilities * Installing and carrying out remedial works to new and existing fire doors * Complete works in line with the manufacture’s specification * Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately * Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work * Liaise with customers and members of the general public What's on offer? * Fire door remedial works for 3 weeks * Self-employed works * £230.00 per day based on 8 hrs worked These vacancies are potentially for an immediate start and are long term positions for the right candidates.
