If you're passionate about delivering high-quality network infrastructure, take pride in your workmanship, and enjoy working on varied projects nationwide, we'd love to hear from you.The Role As a Data Cabling Installation Engineer, you'll play a key role in the delivery of structured cabling and network infrastructure projects for a diverse range of clients. Working alongside experienced engineers and project teams, you'll help ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.Key Responsibilities Install and configure network cabinets and communications racksBuild and install primary and secondary containment systemsInstall, terminate, test, certify, and label Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A structured cabling systemsCarry out fibre optic and copper cabling installationsInstall and patch network switches and associated infrastructurePerform testing and fault-finding activities using industry-standard equipmentMaintain accurate installation documentation and test resultsEnsure all work is completed in accordance with industry standards, project specifications, and customer expectationsAdhere to health, safety, and quality procedures at all timesAbout You We're looking for individuals who combine technical expertise with a customer-focused attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience installing and terminating structured copper cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A)Experience testing and certifying cabling installations using Fluke testing equipmentStrong understanding of containment systems, including steel and PVC solutionsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plansExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and teamwork skillsFull UK driving licenceEligibility to obtain Security Check (SC) and Developed Vetting (DV) clearanceDesirable Skills Fibre optic installation, termination, and testing experienceOTDR testing knowledge and experienceExperience working in secure, enterprise, or mission-critical environmentsECS/CSCS card holderWhy Join Roc Technologies?
