Location: Kingston upon Thames, SurreySalary: £60,000 £80,000 inclusive of bonusesContract: Full-Time, PermanentExperienced Deputy Manager stepping up: £40,000 £45,000 initially, increasing to £60,000 upon registration.Lead the Launch of a Brand-New Children's Home£60,000 £80,000 package inclusive of bonuses for an experienced professional£40,000 £45,000 initially for an experienced Deputy Manager stepping upSalary increasing to £60,000 upon successful registration for a Deputy Manager stepping upOpportunity to lead a brand-new LD children's home from the ground upExperienced Directors team with strong sector knowledgeGenuine influence over the culture, care and development of the serviceClear long-term career progression as the organisation growsImmediate hiring process the organisation is ready to appoint nowAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to join a new children's residential provider opening a specialist home for children and young people with Learning Disabilities in Kingston upon Thames.The home is being launched by an experienced Directors team with strong knowledge of the children's care sector and a clear commitment to creating an exceptional environment for the children and staff who will become part of the service.The property secured is expected to operate as a 3-bed home, providing the successful candidate with a genuine opportunity to take ownership of a new service and shape its culture, standards and approach from the outset.The RoleAs Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the home through its registration and into operation, taking responsibility for establishing a high-quality, compliant and nurturing service.You will:Lead the development and launch of the new children's homeWork alongside the Directors and wider leadership team through the registration processEstablish a positive culture focused on excellent outcomes for childrenRecruit, lead and develop an exceptional staff teamEnsure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted requirements and relevant legislationDevelop and maintain high standards of safeguarding, care planning and quality assuranceCreate a nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of children with Learning DisabilitiesBuild strong relationships with families, local authorities and external professionalsDrive continuous improvement across the homeThe organisation believes in being rigorous where compliance and legislation demand it, while maintaining the flexibility to adapt and make decisions that deliver the best possible care for children and create a positive environment for staff.About YouThe ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Manager with a strong background in Learning Disability services and the ability to lead a new home through registration and into successful operation.The organisation is also open to considering:Experienced Operational or Regional Managers looking to step back into a Registered Manager role as part of a longer-term career moveExperienced Deputy Managers who are ready to take their first step into Registered ManagementIdeally, you'll have:Previous experience within children's residential careStrong experience working with children and young people with Learning DisabilitiesRegistered Manager experience, or the experience and capability to step into the roleLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (desirable)Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and children's residential regulationsA genuine passion for delivering outstanding outcomes for childrenThe leadership skills to build and develop a strong teamA proactive and flexible approach to service developmentA reasonable commute to Kingston upon Thames, SurreyA Clear Pathway for ProgressionThis is more than an opportunity to simply manage one home.The Directors have an ambitious vision to develop a portfolio of up to four homes, with approximately 10 beds, across the region.
