This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll play a key role in maintaining our production equipment, electrical infrastructure and site services, while supporting improvement projects that help shape the future of our manufacturing operation.If you enjoy fault-finding, solving technical challenges and making a real impact in a fast-paced production environment, we'd love to hear from you.The RoleAs an Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving electrical systems across our manufacturing and commercial facilities. From reactive fault finding and preventative maintenance through to installations, inspection and testing, you'll help ensure our operations remain safe, compliant and efficient.Working closely with our Maintenance Supervisor and wider Engineering team, you'll support continuous improvement projects, contribute to energy efficiency initiatives and help minimise downtime across the business.As part of this role, you'll also participate in an on-call rota, providing engineering support outside normal working hours. Additional payments are made for all on-call cover.What You'll DoElectrical Maintenance & Fault FindingDiagnose and repair electrical faults across manufacturing equipment and site servicesCarry out planned preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtimeMaintain accurate electrical drawings, records and maintenance documentationRespond quickly to breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing lasting solutionsInstallation, Inspection & TestingInstall new electrical systems, wiring and controls in line with current BS 7671 Wiring RegulationsCarry out electrical inspection and testing, including EICR testing across siteSupport machinery upgrades, relocations and new equipment installationsAssist with site improvement and energy efficiency projectsSafety & ComplianceEnsure all electrical work complies with current legislation, company procedures and Health & Safety standardsComplete risk assessments, permits to work and associated documentationSupport investigations into electrical incidents, defects and near missesPromote safe working practices across the siteContinuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and energy performanceWork alongside Mechanical, Facilities and IT teams to maintain critical site infrastructureKeep up to date with emerging technologies, legislation and engineering best practiceWho We're Looking ForYou'll be an experienced Electrical Engineer who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in delivering high-quality work and thrives in a manufacturing environment.
