Position Title: Personal AssistantLocation: Edgware, MiddlesexHourly Rate: £12.71 per hourVacancy Type: BankJob Reference: SOLOAGAABOUT THE ROLEI am looking for a kind, patient and caring female Personal Assistant to join my support team and help me continue living as independently as possible.I live with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and while there are things I need support with, it is very important to me that I remain involved in my daily life and continue doing the things that matter to me. I enjoy getting out and about, particularly visiting local parks and spending time outdoors when I feel able. I also have a very special bond with my dog, who is incredibly protective of me and an important part of my life, so being comfortable around dogs is essential.I can be quite an anxious person at times, especially when I have appointments to attend or when plans change unexpectedly. Because of this, I am looking for someone with a calm and reassuring nature who can help me feel confident and supported while encouraging my independence.I like to have structure and routine in my day, and I appreciate someone who takes the time to understand how I like things done. When you arrive for your shift, we will usually discuss the plans for the day together and work as a team to make sure everything runs smoothly.The role will involve supporting me with a range of daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, attending appointments, assistance with mobility and moving safely between locations, light household tasks and supporting me to access the community. Most importantly, I am looking for someone who understands that good support is about working alongside me, helping me maintain my independence and enabling me to live my life in the way I choose.Full training will be provided where required.ABOUT YOUMy first language is Polish, and I would benefit to have someone who speaks my native language; therefore, this would be advantageous.I am looking for a female Personal Assistant who is compassionate, reliable and genuinely enjoys helping others. You should be patient, understanding and able to provide support in a way that promotes dignity, choice and independence.It is important that you are a good listener, have excellent communication skills and are able to build a trusting professional relationship. A calm and positive approach is particularly important, as your reassurance and encouragement can make a real difference to my confidence and wellbeing.You should be organised, dependable and respectful of my home, my family and my privacy at all times. Experience of supporting someone with a physical disability or long-term health condition would be beneficial, although this is not essential, as full training can be provided.Most of all, I am looking for someone who is kind-hearted, trustworthy and willing to take the time to get to know me as an individual.
