User Researcher

Newcastle (Hybrid 3 days per week)
£54,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
We're supporting a leading global consultancy that is continuing to expand its Digital Experience and User-Centred Design team. They are looking for an experienced User Researcher to join their Newcastle-based team, working on impactful digital transformation programmes across government and regulated sectors.
\nThis is a great opportunity to influence the design of large-scale digital services, working alongside multidisciplinary Agile teams to ensure products are shaped around real user needs.
The Role\nYoull play a key role in understanding user behavior, generating insights and helping teams make evidence-based product decisions.
\nYoull be responsible for:

- Planning, recruiting and conducting user research activities \n
- Running remote and in-person research sessions, analysing findings and presenting recommendations \n
- Turning user insights into actionable improvements for design and development teams \n
- Collaborating with Product Managers, Service Designers and UX Designers in Agile environments \n
- Championing user-centred design practices across complex transformation programmes \n
- \n
- Commercial experience as a User Researcher \n
- Strong understanding of GDS standards and delivering GDS-aligned services \n
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams \n
- Confidence facilitating research sessions and engaging with stakeholders \n
- Ability to translate research findings into meaningful product improvements \n
- A strong portfolio showcasing user research, usability testing, personas, user journeys and UX artefacts \n
