US/UK Tax Director - London
Job Description
Leadership, commercial direction and a credible route to Partner
The brief here is to help a respected private client practice become more commercially engaged, more outward-facing and more confident in how it develops its US/UK tax offering.
\nThe team advises high-net-worth individuals, international families, entrepreneurs, private equity partners, fund professionals, senior executives and globally mobile clients on complex US and UK tax matters. The work includes cross-border planning, treaty issues, trusts, estate and gift tax, remittance planning, expatriation, pensions, carried interest, LLCs, real estate exposure and wider international private client structuring.
\nThe technical quality is already in place. The opportunity now is to help the team grow in confidence, visibility and commercial impact.
\nYou would work closely with the existing partners, taking a senior role in client relationships, external networks, intermediary relationships and business development. The firm is looking for someone proactive: a US/UK tax adviser who can spot opportunities, develop ideas, build relationships and help the team become more engaged with the market.
\nThis is not a workflow management role.
\nIt is a leadership role. You would help shape the direction of the US/UK tax offering, support the development of the team, build external profile, create greater commercial momentum and contribute to the longer-term growth of the practice.
\nThere is a credible and real route towards partnership for someone who can bring more than technical strength.
\nThe environment is well suited to someone who wants substance rather than scale for its own sake. The firm is partner-led, technically respected and long established in private client tax, trusts and international wealth structuring. It has the reputation and client base to support high-quality work, while still giving senior people the visibility to influence how the practice develops.
\nAll conversations will be handled in confidence.
