\nJob Role
\nWe are recruiting for a Production Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Menston. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer to join a stable production site and play a key role in improving production performance, efficiency and output.
\nAs a Production Engineer, you will work closely with production and engineering teams to identify issues affecting output, improve manufacturing processes and support the ongoing development of production efficiency across the site.
\nThe role will involve investigating production problems, analysing performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting the implementation of solutions to improve productivity, reduce downtime and maintain high standards of quality.
\nNon-Negotiable Requirements for the Production Engineer
\n- \n
- Recognised Engineering qualification or completed Engineering Apprenticeship \n
- Previous experience working in a production, manufacturing or industrial engineering environment \n
- Experience supporting production output, efficiency and equipment performance \n
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve production issues \n
- Ability to work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maintain output \n
- Comfortable working a days-based shift pattern \n
Requirements for the Production Engineer
\n- \n
- Experience monitoring and improving production processes \n
- Experience investigating production issues and identifying the root cause of problems \n
- Ability to analyse downtime and production performance \n
- Experience supporting continuous improvement projects \n
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste and increase output \n
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with Production, Engineering and other departments \n
- A proactive approach to improving processes and production performance \n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment \n
Desirable Requirements for the Production Engineer
\n- \n
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies \n
- Experience with OEE, KPI monitoring or production performance data \n
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis \n
- Experience supporting process improvement or production optimisation projects \n
- Experience working within an automated manufacturing environment \n
- Additional knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering would be advantageous \n
