\nA leading international professional services organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join its UK finance leadership team.
\nThis is far more than a traditional financial reporting role. We're looking for a technically strong accountant who is equally passionate about transforming finance operations, challenging existing ways of working and driving continuous improvement across a complex, multi-entity business.
\n\nThe Role
\nReporting into senior finance leadership, you'll take ownership of UK financial reporting, statutory accounts and management information, while acting as a catalyst for change. You'll be expected to identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, leverage automation and emerging AI technologies, and embed best practice across the finance function.
\nKey responsibilities include:

- Leading the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting cycle. \n
- Producing high-quality management accounts and Board reporting. \n
- Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS. \n
- Managing the year-end external audit process and acting as the primary finance contact for auditors. \n
- Overseeing the month-end close process across multiple legal entities. \n
- Driving continuous improvement across financial reporting, controls and governance. \n
- Identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency through technology and AI-enabled solutions. \n
- Challenging existing processes and implementing scalable, best-in-class reporting practices. \n
- Supporting finance transformation initiatives, systems optimisation and process standardisation. \n
- Managing, mentoring and developing a small team of qualified accountants. \n
About You
\nWe're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting expertise with a genuine passion for improving how finance operates.
\nYou'll ideally bring:
\n- \n
- ACA or ACCA qualification with at least five years' post-qualified experience. \n
- Extensive experience in financial reporting and financial control within a large, complex organisation. \n
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS. \n
- A proven track record of leading external audits and statutory reporting. \n
- Experience operating across multiple legal entities within a complex business structure. \n
- Advanced SAP (FICO/General Ledger) and Excel skills, with exposure to consolidation tools such as BPC being advantageous. \n
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and implement more effective ways of working. \n
- Experience identifying and delivering process improvements through automation, digital tools and, ideally, AI-enabled solutions. \n
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and bring others on the journey. \n
- Previous experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams. \n
What's on Offer
\nThis is an opportunity to join a highly respected organisation where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the finance function.
\nAlongside responsibility for delivering best-in-class financial reporting, you'll have the autonomy to influence change, modernise processes and help build a more efficient, technology-enabled finance operation.
\n\nYou'll benefit from:
\n- \n
- Competitive salary \n
- Performance bonus \n
- Comprehensive benefits package \n
- Hybrid working \n
- Exposure to senior leadership \n
- Genuine opportunity to influence finance transformation and continuous improvement \n
