Financial Controller
Job Description
Robert Half is working with a well-established organisation based in North Oxford to recruit a Financial Controller on a permanent basis.
\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership of a busy, varied finance function within a reputable business, reporting directly into the Head of Finance.
\nThe Role
\nAs Financial Controller, you will oversee end-to-end finance operations, manage a small team, and play a key role in driving improvements to financial controls and processes. Core responsibilities include:

- Ownership of financial accounting and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP & IFRS \n
- Acting as the primary point of contact for audit \n
- Delivering accurate monthly financial accounts and maintaining robust month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation routines \n
- Preparing data for Group reporting to specified deadlines, including an annual deferred tax pack \n
- Preparing and finalising statutory accounts, and Corporation tax packs for external tax advisors \n
- Ensuring timely delivery of VAT returns and other statutory reporting requirements \n
- Managing a team of three \n
- Overseeing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll reporting \n
- Maintaining strong financial controls and compliance standards \n
- Improving financial policies, systems, and procedures \n
- Liaising with IT on accounting software and systems issues \n
About You
\n- \n
- ACA or ACCA qualified \n
- Strong working knowledge of SAP \n
- Detailed knowledge of FRS102 \n
- A confident, professional communicator who can engage with a variety of stakeholders \n
- A proactive self-starter with strong leadership skills and the ability to define priorities \n
