Job Description
We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse in Leicester. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient receipt, storage, inventory management, and distribution of goods. As the Warehouse Manager, you will be the critical link in our supply chain, responsible for leading warehouse staff, optimising logistics, managing the inventory system, and ensuring strict compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
\nDay-to-day of the role:

- Operations Management: Plan, organise, and oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfilment, and dispatch. \n
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, supervise, and appraise warehouse staff to ensure a productive, engaged, and safety-focused team. \n
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, implement stock rotation procedures, conduct regular audits, and investigate inventory discrepancies to maintain accuracy and minimise loss. \n
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and performance. \n
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and conduct regular safety checks. \n
- Equipment & Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and ensure the facility remains clean, organised, safe, and operational. \n
- KPI & Budgeting: Set, monitor, and report on key performance indicators, manage operational budgets, and implement cost-control initiatives. \n
- Reporting & Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve operational issues, shipping errors, and stock discrepancies, and provide regular performance reports to management. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). \n
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and team leadership. \n
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management software (WMS). \n
- Understanding of logistics, shipping, and receiving procedures. \n
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. \n
- Strong IT experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. \n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. \n
