Complex Needs Teaching Assistant
Job Description
Can you support a child with communication, independence and confidence as well as their learning?
\nWe're seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to work within specialist education settings supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism, learning difficulties, sensory needs and physical disabilities.
\nYou'll work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to help pupils access education in a way that works for them.
\nPatience, empathy and a positive attitude are far more important than previous school experience.
Your responsibilities may include:\n- \n
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis \n
- Assisting with communication strategies \n
- Supporting sensory and emotional regulation \n
- Encouraging independence and social interaction \n
- Assisting with personal care where required \n
- \n
- A caring and nurturing approach \n
- Strong communication skills \n
- Experience supporting SEN, care or vulnerable individuals \n
- A genuine passion for helping children thrive \n
- The ability to work at least 1-2 days per week from 08.30 to 15.30 (full-time roles also available) \n
